Ford's first time wearing clothes, in Edmonton still:

Working on oral stimulation:
(the lovely feet and footwear belong to our neighbor Chloe)One of our favourite Edmonton nurses:
(her name is Natalie but we secretly call her Philippa)

The flight paramedics and nurse getting Ford ready for transfer:
Ford sedated and tucked into the "car bed" for flight!
In Vancouver all the babes get their own white board with important deets:

Hanging out with Mom:
With Dad:
Unsure of the one-shoulder-onesie look (we assured him all the other babies would be sure to follow suit shortly - nothing says summer IV like this off the shoulder ensemble!)
Ford being upright! A sensation he didn't experience until 6 weeks old:

  1. Oh wow, chills and misty eyes, Adam and I are oooing and ahhhing. It's just great to see him in your arms and dressed up - the one shoulder is very chic (Lu Lou?!) Hope you guys all feel better soon. I bet Ford has the most awesome white board of all the babies.

  2. He's so awesome!
Did you guys do the white board drawings?
Congrats on being home (even if it meant getting swarmed by copulating flying ants).

  4. Wow -- so great to see these pics. Ford is so sweet in his "couture" designs. And it's especially lovely to see him with his mom and dad.

  5. Wow, Ford, you look very grown up in these pictures--but then, you are a whole two months old by now, so what'd I expect?! I hope all three of you will soon be over your colds so you can feel as beautiful as you look in the new photos. I know it'll means giving up dibs on the NICU luxury suite; but you'll have had a bit of respite in there from the hustle & bustle of the main area, and your days of banishment will be over, Christa. Besides, your family's brilliantly witty marker-board, bold fashion statements (yeah, almost too bold to bear at times, judging by the edgy expression in one shot), and trio of shining spirits should to be OUT THERE, not hidden away in isolation any longer than can be helped. Love and hankies, Elaine. P.S. Special thanks for including photos of the crew getting Ford ready for his med-evac flight from Edmonton to Vancouver. Seeing them has helped me to chase away the persistent image I've had of a great and terrible Genie-of-the-Lamp (suitably shape-changed, of course, although still bedecked with gold accents--a dead giveaway) who'd picked you all up from StolleryCH and RMcDHse, swirled you away, and set you down--none-too-gently and in a cloud of deja-vu--at VCH. Whatever the experience might have been for you three, you all seem to be well over and done with it by now, if your blog is any indication. --E.

  6. Fabulous photos! "Thanks" for sharing!
Ford is the cutiest guy going - honestly - he is quite a character! Old Soul of wisdom w/those eyes!
Yup - I think he is going to be a very "artsy fartsy" guy! That is prob. why he came to U-2! :)
Keep a strong upper lip - the worst is over!
With all that needed cuddling on everyone's part - he shall be w/you forever!
