small things

ah it is all perspective - he may look big in the photos but he is only in the 5th percentile for his age group. in november he'd managed to claw his way up to the 20th, with his sights on the 90th where he was born, but in the last couple of months has found his way back among the wee ones. HOWEVER, our wee boy, despite it all, in defiance of this stasis, and overnight, has sprouted two front teeth! teeth! wow! hopefully photographic evidence will follow soon...

  6. Well, well! Teeth, and TWO of them, yet!! I'd sort of wondered what you were working up to, Ford, with your soother nicely within chomping distance and that "I've-got-a-secret" look in your bright eyes, in last week's photo-shoot.
Those first two lower incisors are so cute on babies, and you've probably already noticed that you get even more adoring looks and coos because of them--not to mention a tad more respect!

And wow, Christa and Nick, those photos really show how well you've stood your ground for Ford. I just wish you hadn't had to fight so hard: it shouldn't be necessary. But anyway, he's got his "Bair Hugger" back, gets to sleep on his tummy, and has the chance to banish the unpleasant memory of uncomfortable medical ministrations by rocking out with his folks and his toys when he's on his back.

Sending you love always, and staying power in whatever form I'm able without being hypocritical. To wit: persistence, certainly, anytime; patience, serenity and such, umm... less likely, since I don't really have any myself. I'm sure, though that more than enough of your other blog-followers have plenty to spare. Thinking of you lots, revelling in your smiles, Ford, and delighting in the sound of your voices, Christa and Nick.
